M.Sc in Education & Training Management (E-Learning) / BA Equivalency (Music) / Diploma - Digital Multi Media. Professional Percussionist / Digital Media Designer /  

Paul is a professional orchestral percussionist with over 25 years experience in the classical music industry including 13 years as Sub-principal Percussionist with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland.

Simply Music delivers a range of educational projects with Dublin City Council's Arts Programme, Kildare County Council Arts Office, Music Generation South Dublin and Music Generation Wicklow.
In addition, Simply Music has delivered programmes for the JCSP Demonstration Library Project, in Kylemore College, Ballyfermot and James's Street C.B.S. Dublin.

Simply Music has been accepted again onto Dublin City Council’s Artists’ Panel for the following three years 2015 - 2018.

Paul has an M.Sc. in Education and Training Management (E-learning) (First Class Honours Degree) from Dublin City University.

In November 2011, Paul received a 'Highly Commended" European Award for Simply Music's use of Technology in Education as part of the MEDEA Awards Ceremony, which took place during the Media & Learning Conference 2011 in Brussels.

Karan Thompson

Karan provides support for the development of curriculum related content for Simply Music.  Karan was formerly a music teacher at secondary level and a lecturer in Music Teaching at the Froebel College of Education. Additionally, she is a former Board Member of the National Concert Hall and operates a successful independent consultancy practice for the Arts and Cultural sector in Ireland.  Karan holds an M.A. in Cultural Policy, HDE and HDAA from University College Dublin.
